چکیده

rainfall erosivity is the ability of rainfall to detach the soil particles. this study was conducted to evaluate spatial variability of rainfall erosivity indices in khouzestan province. the point data of indices (ei30, aim, ke>1 and onchev indices) in 74 stations were used to generate spatial erosivity maps through deterministic and geostatistical interpolation methods (radial basis functions, inverse distance weighted, kriging and cokriging). results indicate that cokriging have least error and most correlation with determining coefficient of 0.89, 0.89, 0.48 and 0.49 for ei30, aim, ke>1 and onchev indices. based on the correlation relationships between the basins specific sediment yield (in basins dominating the sedimentation stations) and mean indices of ei30, aim, ke>1 and onchev, ei30 index with correlation coefficient of 0.98 (p

Spatial and temporal variability of rainfall erosivity factor for Switzerland

Rainfall erosivity, considering rainfall amount and intensity, is an important parameter for soil erosion risk assessment under future land use and climate change. Despite its importance, rainfall erosivity is usually implemented in models with a low spatial and temporal resolution. The purpose of this study is to assess the temporaland spatial distribution of rainfall erosivity in form of the ...

Spatial Variability in Rainfall Erosivity versus Rainfall Depth: Implications for Sediment Yield

ity in rainfall erosivity and associated sediment yield. Rainfall erosivity and sediment yield can be measured Rainfall depth within small semiarid watersheds can have high much more cost effectively than runoff, an important spatial variability, but spatial variability in rainfall erosivity, a more direct determinant of sediment yield, has not been quantified. Using consideration when studying...

Evaluating the Spatial-Temporal Variations of Rainfall Erosivity and Erosivity Density (A Case Study: Menderjan Watershed, Isfahan Province)

Rainfall erosivity is one of the factors determining the amount of water erosion in the soil. Rainfall erosivity is determined by the  total rainstorm energy and the maximum intensity in 30 minutes (I30). Since rainfall erosivity is closely related to the amount and intensity of rainfall, it is expected that the rainfall erosivity would change monthly and seasonally throughout the year. The mai...

Spatial variability of forest growing stock using geostatistics in the Caspian region of Iran

Estimating the amount of variation due to spatial dependence at different scales provides a basis for designing effective experiments. Accurate knowledge of spatial structures is needed to inform silvicultural guidelines and management decisions for long term sustainability of forests. Furthermore, geostatistics is a useful tool to describe and draw map the spatial variability and estimation o...

Rainfall erosivity in Europe.

Rainfall is one the main drivers of soil erosion. The erosive force of rainfall is expressed as rainfall erosivity. Rainfall erosivity considers the rainfall amount and intensity, and is most commonly expressed as the R-factor in the USLE model and its revised version, RUSLE. At national and continental levels, the scarce availability of data obliges soil erosion modellers to estimate this fact...

Analysis of spatial variability of soil properties using geostatistics and remote sensing

Soil mapping is one of the basic studies in the natural resource sector. The purpose of this study was to analyze spatial of soil properties on the map of arid areas and deserts. For this purpose, a region with an area of 600 hectares in Qom that considered Salt Lake watershed. Specified methods used include inverse distance methods, radial functions, and prediction local general estimate. Krig...
